Jan. 2009 - Ft. Detrick, Maryland. The U.S. Army awards a 1.2 million page contract!
Input Solutions, in partnership with a Service Disabled Veteran owned business, was awarded a contract to perform on-site scanning of 1.2 million pages of sensitive information. The entire project is being done on-site with personnel from both companies. Input is providing personnel for the document preparation phase and the scanning phase. We also provided two, 120 page per minute Kodak scanners and associated hardware/software. It is also our responsibility to verify the validity of the PDF documents being produced, double check the file naming convention and provide accurate page count summaries. The project is currently running ahead of schedule and will be completed by the end of March.
NMCI APPROVED TRIM CONTEXT
During July 2008 we successfully completed a project for the US Navy at the Navy Yard in Washington DC, by converting over 80 GB of metadata, links, and images from a legacy application to the approved TRIM Context database. This task had several major components:
- 35 new boxes of hardcopy data were prepared, scanned, indexed, quality assured and made ready for import into TRIM.
- Over 2 million TIFF images were converted into searchable PDF files (to enable full text searching).
- A new "Folder" structure was implemented.
- Error checking and correction were performed.
- Special files, different from the standard files, were converted for retrieval within TRIM.
We are currently working on other TRIM applications that will require one or both of our two areas of expertise related to TRIM Context software:
- Scanning, including document preparation and/or reassembly, conversion to searchable PDF, indexing and QA into TRIM using our Kofax front-end scanning software application.
- Converting other existing NMCI legacy database applications into TRIM.
